The company employs approximately 34,000 people across 60 divisions and community hospital systems. There are 1,600 salaried physicians on staff, representing 120 specialties and subspecialties.
The Position
Reports to: Director Organizational Performance, PSI
Position Summary
Leads project and program definition activities within key project streams to support major initiatives in Institutes, primarily performance improvement. Partners with Institute Chairmen and Administrators to holistically manage project streams.
Position Responsibilities
Identification of sponsors and alignment of project goals with sponsor needs.
Creation of clarity around project objectives including metrics, baselines, targets.
Identification and assembly of project team (skills) necessary to execute project.
Creates a clear plan to meet project objectives: milestone and work units (WBS).
Communicates plan and status to stakeholders: team, sponsors, executive leadership.
Drives accountability around commitments across project team.
Effectively delegates and created sub-teams where needed to execute the work.
Leads transition of project results into functional organization.
Leverages project reporting to quantitatively show project results to stakeholders.
Partners with stakeholders to ensure project results can be incorporated into daily business practices.
Creates systems and process to measure project results over time (e.g. audit process).
Defines accountability needed to sustain project improvements over time.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Proven ability to effectively manage multiple objectives and tasks and solve complex problems.
Capable of synthesizing complex data from multiple sources into key conclusions with buy-in from stakeholders.
Operates with an orientation towards results and attention to detail.
Possesses strong influencing and relationship-building skills. Must be able to influence stakeholders towards common goals.
Understands the importance of local ownership of projects and solutions and is able to position themselves to simultaneously drive projects while fostering local ownership.

Position Requirements:
The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
The candidate must have a minimum of eight years experience in leading and managing project management at an executive/senior leadership level.
The candidate must have demonstrable strong analytical thinking and data analysis capabilities.
The candidate must have experience managing large scale projects in large, matrix organizations.
The candidate must have experience working with the tools and foundational concepts of Lean, Six Sigma and/or quality-focused systems.
The candidate must have a proven track record of effective communication across multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups.
Preferred Experience
Six Sigma Black Belt certification from a reputable source
