THE POSITION
Our client’s seeking a strategic and operationally driven Director of SIOP to lead the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning function across all business units in North America within the Consumer Products Division. This role is responsible for managing Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Master Data teams, ensuring alignment across Commercial, Supply Chain and Manufacturing functions to drive forecast accuracy, inventory health and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, evolve and continuously improve the SIOP process across the Consumer Products Retail Division to ensure alignment between demand, supply and inventory.
- Facilitate monthly SIOP meetings to drive consensus, accountability and decision making across Commercial, Supply Chain and Finance teams.
- Translate long-range business goals into aligned supply chain plans that support service, cost and inventory objectives.
- Build an SIOP roadmap that enables scalability, forecast transparency and cross-functional accountability.
- Lead the demand planning process to generate accurate short- and long-term forecasts that incorporate sales trends, promotions, new product introductions and market intelligence.
- Align capacity planning with Manufacturing and 3PL partners to ensure flexibility and responsiveness to demand variability.
- Ensure accurate and consistent master data across materials, BOMs and planning parameters to enable effective forecasting and planning.
- Serve as the central point of contact between Commercial, Operations, Finance and Supply Chain teams for planning-related topics.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Ten-plus years of progressive experience in SIOP, demand/supply planning or supply chain operations, preferably in a consumer products or retail environment.
- Strong experience working with 3PLs and offshore manufacturing partners, ideally with operations in Mexico.
- Proven leadership in building and scaling high-performing planning teams.
- Expertise in forecasting tools, ERP systems and planning analytics (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Anaplan, etc.).
- Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect operational planning to financial and strategic outcomes.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
