THE POSITION
The Head of Training & Development will be instrumental in embedding Lean practices across operations, ensuring its teams are equipped with the tools, knowledge and mindset to drive efficiency, quality and growth. Reporting to the Software Development Manager and supported by two training assistants, the Lean manufacturing expert will play a pivotal role in advancing the culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement and sustain a world-class training framework.
- Design and deliver engaging, practical training programs rooted in Lean.
- Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, etc.).
- Partner with facility leadership to identify training priorities, skill gaps and measurable outcomes.
- Oversee training team to ensure consistency and scalability in training delivery.
- Mentor employees and teams to adopt Lean culture and practices across all levels of the organization.
- Incorporate digital tools and reporting structures in collaboration with the Software Development Manager.
- Continuously assess and refine training programs through data analysis, audits and employee feedback.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and bring innovative approaches to training and workforce development.
- Audit system and process compliance.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, training and development or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven expertise in Lean manufacturing methodologies (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent strongly preferred).
- Five to seven years of progressive experience in industrial training, manufacturing operations or process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and evaluate effective training programs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience coaching or supervising others.
- Data-driven mindset with proven success in measuring training effectiveness and operational impact.
