THE POSITION

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the manufacturing facility including safety, culture, people development, production operations, quality, materials planning, purchasing, inventory, maintenance, and operational performance. This role is a highly visible transformation leadership opportunity focused on building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit that has historically driven the business. The Plant Manager will serve as the key operational leader responsible for driving Lean transformation, developing frontline leadership capability, and improving financial and operational performance across the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead all day-to-day plant operations including production, quality, maintenance, materials management, purchasing, planning, and shipping.
• Drive operational performance while ensuring safety, customer service, product quality, and cost objectives are consistently achieved.
• Collaborate cross-functionally as a key business leader influencing EBITDA, Net Working Capital, inventory management, and long-term operational planning.
• Lead the implementation and sustainability of Lean Manufacturing and Toyota Production System methodologies throughout the operation.
• Drive Kaizen activity, visual management, structured problem solving, standard work, 5S, and daily management systems.
• Develop and mentor frontline supervisors and production leaders into high-performing operational leaders.
• Manage plant performance against budget, EBITDA, revenue, productivity, inventory, and overhead targets.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent operational leadership experience.
• Ten-plus years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading within high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and assembly environments.
• Demonstrated success leading Lean transformation initiatives within plant operations.
• Experience developing frontline leaders and building high-performing teams.
• Experience managing within union manufacturing environments required.
• Experience driving operational improvement within businesses under approximately $75M revenue preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred due to a predominantly Spanish-speaking workforce.
