THE POSITION
The role is responsible for ensuring all team members are properly trained and consistently execute best practices and procedures within the supply chain. This individual will play a key role in coordinating, implementing, executing, controlling and completing specific business and operational improvement initiatives. Part of the responsibility includes assessing the current supply chain structure to identify opportunities for consolidating back-end processes and developing core competencies, which may involve reorganization as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize Lean methodology to develop and implement processes and system improvements for all supply chain related activities.
- Establish and implement global Supply Chain KPIs, definitions and guidelines in alignment with the Global Procurement Office.
- Compilation and management of a global Supply Chain competency/training matrix to identify needs for talent improvements aligned with the supply chain structure.
- Implementation of a robust Inventory Management System to monitor inventory levels, provide better inventory visibility and drive inventory reduction
- Assist in the development of a Sales, Inventory and Operation Planning (SIOP) process that aligns the sales demand with the output from production locations.
- Create and implement a vendor management system focused on reduction of current supply based, leveraging spend among approved suppliers and establishment of a vendor scorecard.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that collaborates effectively with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or recognized qualification in supply chain / operations / manufacturing or related field, including process improvement is preferred.
- Proven technical competence is required with strong English speaking and written skills. Strong business management skills and experience are desired.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in driving process improvements in supply chain / operations, with increasing responsibility.
- MRP, ERP, planning and scheduling and inventory management experience are preferred.
- APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP, etc.) preferred.
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Black Belt or recognized experience preferred.
- Technically competent and able to rapidly become familiar with all products and network systems.
- High-energy operator with a “roll-up-the-sleeves” mentality.
