THE POSITION
The VP will lead the strategic and operational management of all functions, including project management, procurement, inventory, supplier and subcontractor relations, warehousing, freight/logistics and vehicle fleet services. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, consistent and compliant sourcing and delivery of materials and services, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. A strong understanding of financial principles is critical to ensure accurate budgeting, cost control and alignment with organizational profitability goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, productivity and alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders and project teams to ensure the delivery of seamless end-to-end operations and project execution.
- Develop and manage the competitive bidding processes and drive continuous improvement in supply chain performance.
- Lead strategic and operational management of procurement, inventory and logistics.
- Implement a supplier management program with scorecards designed to measure supplier performance as it relates to quality, on-time delivery/completion, procurement cycle time, etc.
- Develop and manage budgets for operations and supply chain functions, ensuring cost optimization and adherence to financial targets.
- Analyze financial data to support decision-making and identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Collaborate with Finance to maintain accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Provide support functionality for warehouse and HVAC distribution centers.
- Analyze and enact behavioral and business practice changes for better alignment of vendors.
- Oversee ERP implementation and mobile tools for real-time tracking and reporting.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations management, supply chain or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, finance or supply chain management.
- Experience in energy services, manufacturing, construction or mechanical contracting is strongly preferred.
- Supply chain purchasing experience with subcontractors focused on sourcing, contracting and managing vendors to perform work, supply materials and/or provide specialized services.
- Experience with warehouse operations and inventory best practices.
- Prior experience with fleet management and leasing programs is desired.
- Experience moving from a decentralized to a centralized supply chain is highly desirable.
