Our client is a leading tech-enabled marketing services provider.
THE POSITION
The position – providing leadership and guidance to distribution center leaders in the region – requires Lean and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize operating efficiencies, implement best practices and support key growth initiatives. The VP will standardize metrics and KPIs in partnership with senior leadership, maintaining high-level relationships with cross-functional partners and serving as the primary voice on operational issues to customers and external partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the DC (distribution centers) leaders in the region on core supply chain performance, talent development, key metrics, obstacles to performance, outliers and continuous improvement strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance for optimization and consolidation of the DC network.
- Utilizing concepts such as Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, drive operating efficiencies across the company and implement best practices in Operations management to maximize productivity, quality and utilization.
- Develop an environment of operational excellence while supporting key growth initiatives and delivering on our commitment of internal and external partner success.
- In partnership with senior leadership, develop standardized network including shared metrics and KPIs to drive efficiencies, superior customer excellence and operational improvements.
- Develop and maintain high-level relationships with key cross-functional partners.
- Serve as the primary voice of the organization on operational issues to customers and external partners.
- Must be acutely aware of distribution trends and emerging practices in related environments.
- Operations profit and loss accountability.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven record of accomplishment of delivering transformational change through innovation and decisive action that will establish distribution as a competitive advantage for the company.
- Strong experience with distribution serving a broad customer base.
- Preferred experience in leading in a Lean / Six Sigma environment.
- Experienced in change management and operating at a fast pace.
- Capable of driving initiatives, influencing broad organizations and able get people to buy into the leadership vision.
- Entrepreneurial and able to work at a company without limitless resources and a bias for action.
